About Us

The University of Georgia’s NSBE chapter was founded in July 2012 to fulfill the National Society of Black Engineers’ (NSBE) mission: “To increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.” Our chapter aims to enhance retention in the engineering department and establish a strong presence in the newly founded College of Engineering, driven by our passion for engineering. We are committed to making “Dawg Nation Innovation” better than ever before, enriching our members during their university years and throughout their engineering careers.
